healing moment: no care too small
There is no act of care too small. Doing anything to care for yourself is better than doing nothing. <3

no care too small
When I am told to ~do self-care~ it immediately feels like too much. Grandiose images of how other people care for themselves flood my mind, muddying the waters of what care for me actually looks like. Add in the fact that when I most need it I am at my lowest capacity, and you might be able to see why self-care feels impossible.
In these moments, I have to stop and remind myself: There is no act of care too small. Doing anything to care for myself is better than doing nothing.
Some examples of small acts of self-care:
3 deep breaths in the bathroom in the morning, or any other time during the day
3 minutes of meditation
A cup of tea without looking at email during the work day, if possible
Putting on aromatherapy lotion and breathing in the scent during the day
These are all ways to care for yourself, so if self-care feels impossible, see if you can incorporate small moments of care.
Because there is no act of care too small. Doing anything to care for yourself is better than doing nothing. <3
