Hi there, I’m Sarah (she/her) and I’m a healthcare chaplain based in NJ. I’m a cat mom to a nearly 5 year old floofy orange guy named Roary 🦁 I’m trying to cultivate a slower pace in how I approach life and all the chaos it brings, and I find that working on puzzles helps along with my Criterion Channel subscription and too many books.

Hello Sarah! Sending so much love to you as a chaplain, because I know how hard, beautiful, & important your ministry is. Thank GOODNESS you have Roary to be *your* chaplain. So grateful you’re here! πŸ’›

Hi all! I'm Jo (she/her) though I sometimes feel these days that my pronouns should be crone/chaos harpy. I'm clergy in a progressive (not progressive enough) Xian denomination, and a master's student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling which means I have really, really weird conversations. My chaos right now is I'm trying to manage my private spiritual direction practice, be a full time grad student, and care for my spouse who had a stroke (under 60 years old!). It is... a lot. And I'm super grateful for Erin's honesty cause the chaos is real and I am TIRED.

Jo, I don’t have to tell you how much I relate to crone/chaos harpy, lol. I know you’re holding a tremendous amount right now & y’all remain in my prayers. Don’t let yourself hold it alone, okay? Here for you in whatever ways I can be. Let’s rest together & share our burdens so none of us hold them alone. So grateful you’re here! πŸ’›

Hi Everyone: I'm Scott Lothe (he/him), who lives in central Iowa. I have been a United Methodist clergy for quite sometime, but am "flaming out" on my passion for the institutional church. This period of reformation is Chaos and I AM Tired. Looking for authentic community. I have also been part of recovery communities for about 10 years, most recently Laura McKowen's Luckiest Club. My former spouse and I adopted a sibling group of three children, who are all adults. I have one grandchild who brings me great joy. It's good to connect with you all!

Hey, y’all!! Im gab (she/they). Things I like to do for fun include reading, crocheting, running, and anything water related like swimming or kayaking. I have three small dogs: one long-haired dachshund (Annie Banani) and two min pin/chihuahua mixes (Wednesday and Pearl). The chaos in my life right now is that I relocated to the UK last year to start an American biscuit restaurant with my husband. It’s been an incredible experience so far and I’ve never worked harder at anything, but they don’t tell you that the better it’s going the scarier it actually gets lol. My whole life right now is basically work. And I don’t have my usual support system close by (or in the same time zone even) so I have struggled with feeling isolated. I’m trying my best to maintain my identity outside my work and find community, and I am very happy to be here. Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hello dear! The fact that you have hobbies while also launching your amazing business is beyond a big deal. And please snuggle the babies for me; tell them Auntie Erin sends her love. You know I know the struggle for community, too. It hit me that I can make sure some of the calls per month work in your time zone (but no pressure to come to them!) I think if we did a noon CST call every now and then it would be 6PM for you, or even later possibly. We’ll see & we can chat about it, but I wanted you to know I’ll be keeping your time zone in mind. Love to you friend! ❀️

Hey there everyone! I’m Rhonda (she/her), I live in North Georgia close enough to Atlanta to experience residual traffic and all the chaos of the suburbs πŸ˜…. In my day to day I work from home alongside my husband sounds awfully chaotic but we manage very well. I have 2 children, 3 dogs, 3 goats and 5 chickens. Very exciting around here. I love it most days. Like Scott, I have also been focused on sobriety for the past 5 years or so with a couple of detours for β€œresearch”. I joined the TLC community in its infancy and love that it has helped so many get and stay sober. I love Tim garden, read, play video games and most recently dipping my toe into homesteading. I love the idea of having a group where can connect and share our experiences and knowledge.

Good evening! My name is Jonathan David Joseph Cureton (he/him/his)

I am a Tea Specialist certified by the World Tea Academy, so I love trying different kinds of tea from around the world! I also take Japanese Tea Ceremony lessons, and enjoy gathering with my fellow students to share a bowl of tea is a wonderful experience!

I live with my cousin, Philip, and when he moved in with me he brought his adorably talkative and grumpily hungry cat, Dragon! He is a very large orange tabby!

I went to school for engineering, and throughout my time at university I pulled a lot of all nighters. At the rising of the sun, even amidst the stress of so many things in my life, I always felt a profound sense of peace. The sun would rise again, and the works would be beautiful no matter what I did, and that assurance was comforting in a strange way.

I’m in discernment for the Diaconate (so after jumping through a number of hoops, I will hopefully be ordained as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church!), and juggling the exploration of a new vocation alongside being on the vestry at my own parish, being on multiple task forces for the Diocese of Missouri, being a recent first-time home buyer, and working a full time job at an Architecture and Engineering firm, it can be a chaotic lot to juggle! I feel deeply blessed, though, and fervently love all these things.

Thank you to everybody in this community! I look forward to getting to know all of you in the coming seasons of our lives!

Peace!

Hello friend! Wait… I wanna know more about this tea! Maybe on one of our calls you could lead us through a tea ceremony? No pressure, but I would love to learn from your wisdom! Please tell Dragon I said pspspspsspsps. And of course, I am holding you in prayer during your discernment process. Keep me updated and let me know any specific ways I can pray for that. Sending you all my best wishes! πŸ’›

Doing a whole ceremony over Zoom would be a little hard, but I would be happy to put together a PowerPoint presentation about it!
