inspiration

contemplation
I stared into this text space and nothing came to mind as a quote for inspiration. I was on the BRINK of googling “inspirational quotes that people usually like that you can use in weekly email newsletters!!!” when I remembered that is not why I send this newsletter and I don’t think that’s why you receive it. Sometimes we simply do not have a neat quote to share. Instead of forcing a quote upon you, I invite you to think less about outside sources to inspire you, and more about the wisdom you already possess. I’m not as knowledgeable about the enneagram as some (though I’m considering an enneagram deep dive when I’m done with the book), but I was told the way you know your number is you read through them and the one that sounds so true it isn’t afraid to make you uncomfortable, that’s you. There were many parts of the enneagram 6 description that felt this way, and one of them was: the crowdsourcer. Y’all, I will crowdsource anything! And it is usually because I cannot trust myself to know what is best for me. Listen, I’m not dragging crowdsourcing, but I am saying: if you find yourself always looking to the outside for inspiration, you might be neglecting your own wisdom, and we’re all worse off for not experiencing your wisdom expressed. So, today, instead of receiving wisdom from someone else, I encourage you to tell yourself a good word, if you can.
reflection
Is there any piece of wisdom from your life that feels especially important for you to receive right now?
Do you tend to minimize the idea that you have wisdom to offer yourself that you can trust?
Try to notice both the wisdom that comes to mind and the inner ways you minimize that wisdom, because I bet it all has something to teach you.

the void (erin jean warde)
I'm an enneagram 6 and I will 100% crowdsource everything. I had to write a cover letter for a job I've applied for and four different people helped me make edits!
thank you so much. I enjoy receiving and reading
